Chris Snow is the Vice President of Corporate Operations Veransa. Chris has over 30 years of

municipal solid waste management experience in the areas of organics recycling, solid waste

collection and recycling programs, disaster debris management, and capital projects planning and

construction management. Chris has an undergraduate degree in Resource Management, and a

Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Chris is the Co-Chair

of the Organics Recycling Committee.

Shiva Ahrens is a Principal Research Scientist at Florida Crystals. She completed her PhD in Soil

Biogeochemistry in Indiana University and joined Florida Crystals’ Research & Development Department

as the Crop Nutritionist in 2017. Shiva began her involvement in the compost industry by managing a

large-scale compost project at Florida Crystals using sugarcane harvesting and milling byproducts as the

feedstock, producing about 100,000 tons of compost per year. Shive became a Certified Compost

Operations Manager (CCOM) in 2021.

Dustin DuBois is the Founder of Filthy Organics. He is an entrepreneur, veteran and former Navy SWCC. Serving in the United States Navy, he was stationed in San Diego. Here he became submerged in the California culture and found the importance of recycling and sustainable living. He has since carried these principles and ideas back to Florida, where he resides on a plot of land with his wife, 2 sons, a dog, a few chickens and lots of bees.

 Levin is the COO at Gaston Tree Debris Recycling and Gaston Mulch and  Soil, focusing on regenerating our soil and water using repurposed  material from the urban forest! He also has experience as a John Maxwell  Certified Speaker, Coach, Trainer. Experienced in Disaster Debris  Planning and Operations. He’s been in the industry since 1972 as a  founder of Gaston Tree Service, opened Florida’s first state recognized  wood recycling facility in Gainesville in 1986. Served on recycling  committees with the FDEP TAG committee, UF, City of Gainesville, and  USDA. 

  Carter Williams is the Chief Operation Officer for Organics Management. Carter has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in multiple industries. Since joining Organics Management in early 2023 Carter has embraced organics recycling and promoting soil health through the use of compost. Organics Management is a leader in the Florida compost industry. Carter has a degree in Economics from the University of Florida.

Gary Bilbro is an innovative management professional with talents and

expertise in Organics diversion, Waste Management, Recycling and

Environmental Sustainability, Composting, Quality Control, Information

Technology Services, Consulting, IT Solutions, Facilities Management,

Marketing and Application Development. Strengths include, unyielding

integrity, strong work ethic, vision, analytical expertise, ability to develop and

nurture client relationships and provide leadership to develop and achieve

goals.

  Mr. Hill is an independent consultant to the environmental, recycling industries. Prior to to that he was the principal at CycleLogic Environmental Marketing and Consultation. He has more than 30 years in compost operations and marketing experience. He has a bachelor’s degree is in horticulture and his master’s degree in marketing.

Prior to starting CycleLogic, Mr. Hill was the Project Manager and Marketing Manager with Veolia Water North America at the Baltimore City Composting Facility. He was responsible for annually producing and profitably marketing between 75,000 and 85,000 cubic yards of ORGRO® brand compost, while managing this facility. 

Previously, he managed 3 yard trim composting facilities serving 5 counties in Maryland. As Project Manager, he was responsible for the production and marketing of greater than 160,000 cubic yards of compost per year for these combined facilities.

Dr. Hampton obtained her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Horticultural Sciences from the University of Florida. In 2018, she retired as an Associate Professor of the Department of Horticultural Sciences at the University of Florida. 

She is the founder and CEO of TerraNutri, LLC, a consulting company that specializes in research and development in organic and conventional agriculture. 

Dr. Hampton's commitment to the agriculture community is evident in her roles as a trustee at the Compost Research and Education Foundation (CREF) and the Florida Composting Council (FLCC). Her active involvement in these organizations underscores her dedication to advancing the field. 

She is a book author and the author/co-author of many book chapters, refereed research, and extension publications. She has published 60 refereed research publications, one book, ten book chapters, and 135 non-refereed publications. 

During her tenure at the University of Florida, her grants from external and internal sources total more than $2.5 million, and she has received 1 million dollars in In-kind contributions from the citrus and vegetable industry.
